Company with Mountain’s Edge land holdings files for bankruptcy

A Nevada company with land holdings at Mountain’s Edge master-planned community in southwest Las Vegas Valley filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection this week.

MME, whose principal assets include a portion of land at Maravilla at Mountain’s Edge, is working with its lenders on an amicable resolution, said David McEntire, president of Las Vegas-based Amstar Homes and managing member of MME.

One of two banks is working with MME and another one urged the company to file for bankruptcy to allow a period of time for the interested parties to hold “constructive conversations,” McEntire said.

Court documents filed Wednesday show MME’s estimated assets at $1 million to $10 million and estimated liabilities of $10 million to $50 million.
