Construction worker dies from injuries suffered in fall
One of three workers who fell 30 feet at the Fontaine-bleau Resorts construction site Thursday died from his injuries, authorities said.
The Clark County coroner's office identified the man as Norvin Tsosie, 36, of Las Vegas.
The accident occurred about 9:30 a.m. when the men fell from the 30-foot high wall at the site near Paradise Road and Sahara Avenue.
Two of the men fell onto the ground, while a third fell into a 10-foot deep hole. Although all three were wearing safety harnesses, the harness on the man who fell into the hole failed.
The workers were taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center. Two had minor injuries, while the worker who fell into the hole was in critical condition.
The Fontainebleau Resorts project is a planned 4,000-room resort and casino slated to open in 2008.
