Coroner identifies hiker found dead on Frenchman Mountain
The proposal to rename the top of Frenchman Mountain to become Mount Reagan still requires federal approval, but it could happen by the end of the year.
The Clark County coroner’s office identified the hiker who was found dead in the Frenchman Mountain area on Dec. 28 as Daniel Stache, 27.
A group of hikers discovered the body in the mountainous area east of Las Vegas and hiked to an area with cell service to call 911. The call was made around 3:30 p.m.
