Couple who ambushed police among 4 police shooting cases scheduled for review

Cases from last summer's deadly CiCi's Pizza ambush are among four fact-finding reviews on police shootings that will be held in the next several weeks, Clark County announced Tuesday.

Arthur Green was shot and killed by three Metro officers after he charged from his southeast valley home in April 2014 and emptied his revolver at them. Officials will review Green's death Aug. 21.

Anthony Moore had been involved in a string of armed robberies at casinos and was being followed by Metro detectives when he was shot and killed by police in December 2014 at the Rio. Moore's death will be reviewed Aug. 24.

Jessie Vigil was on his bike in July 2014 when he was stopped by Henderson police. Vigil stabbed one of the officers twice in the leg before both officers pulled away and shot him. Vigil's death will be reviewed Aug. 25.

The deaths of Jerad and Amanda Miller will be reviewed Sept. 4. Jerad Miller was shot and killed by police at a Walmart in June 2014 after he and his wife shot two police officers who were on their lunch break at an east valley CiCi's Pizza. The shooters then fled to a nearby Walmart where Amanda Miller shot herself as Jerad lay dying after being shot by police.

The reviews will be held at 9 a.m. on their scheduled dates in the Clark County Government Center chambers, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway. They will be aired live on Clark County Television and streamed at www.ClarkCountyNV.gov. CCTV is on channel 4 for Cox Cable and CenturyLink customers (channel 89.13 for those without converter boxes) and on channel 14 in Laughlin via CMA Access.

Fact-finding reviews happen after a police-involved death occurs and the Clark County district attorney's office decides officers won't face criminal charges.

An ombudsman represents the public and the family of the person killed. The district attorney's office presents evidence and witnesses, but only for information. No determination is made.
