CSN wins regional championship

Chasen Shreve pitched six strong innings and the College of Southern Nevada defeated Western Nevada 8-2 in the NJCAA Region 18 championship today at Morse Stadium in Henderson.

Tomo Delp, Daniel Higa and Ryan Thomas each had two RBIs for the Coyotes, who led 5-0 after the first inning.

CSN (46-13) advances to the Western District Tournament at Lamar, Colo. The Coyotes will play Western Nebraska at 2 p.m. Thursday.
