Dead man, 80, found at Lake Mead

LAKE MEAD NATIONAL RECREATION AREA -- National Park Service authorities say they have recovered the dead body of an 80-year-old man roughly one mile into Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

National Park Service police said the body was found this afternoon by a police aircraft.

National Park Service spokesman Andrew Munoz says authorities believe the man died of natural causes. Munoz says heat may be a factor. But the county coroner will determine what caused the man's death.
