Drama sets tone in ‘Holly’s World’

It might be a spinoff of “The Girls Next Door” but expect one big difference in Holly Madison’s Las Vegas-based reality show “Holly’s World.”

“Hef never wanted any drama” in the series about life under the roof of the Playboy Mansion, said Madison, who co-starred with galpals Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson.

Drama sets the tone early in “Holly’s World,” as evidenced by the title of Sunday’s premiere episode, “Opening a Cancun of Worms.”

The debut airs on E! at
10:30 p.m.

“This is a lot more fun, more real, more drama,” said Madison.

The inner circle of her world revolves around her “Peepshow” castmate, singer Josh Strickland (“my boy BFF”), her real-life roommate Laura Croft, “my best friend and assistant” Angel Porrino and Porrino’s 1-year-old son, Roman.

Madison met Croft, Playboy’s Miss July 2008, and Porrino while working at the Mansion as Playboy’s photo director.

Tempers flare during Holly’s photo shoot in Cancun when Angel gets called out by Holly’s makeup artist. Later, Josh finds himself in a physical confrontation with rowdy hecklers after a night of revelry at a beachfront bar.

THE SCENE AND HEARD

More on that amazing corporate buyout of the “Love” show at The Mirage on Thursday: Upon arriving attendees were greeted with a Beatles-themed spread that included made-to-order shepherd’s pie, specialty submarine sandwiches with a nod to the Beatles’ “Yellow Submarine” and strawberries in a “field” at the bar. The company picking up the tab for the 2,000-plus guests was identified as Creston, which manufactures control devices for homes.
