Dust, wind advisories issued for Las Vegas
Reports from a spotter in Jean about a cloud of dust blowing off a dry lake bed near there and heading toward the Las Vegas Valley has prompted Clark County officials to issue an air quality advisory through tonight.
The gusty winds in the forecast have also moved meteorologists at the National Weather Service in Las Vegas to issue a wind advisory until 2 p.m. for the valley.
The county Department of Air Quality and Environmental Management is urging residents and those working on construction sites to take precautions.
Children, the elderly and those with respiratory diseases are encouraged to stay indoors during inclement conditions.
