Fatal crash victim identified

The Clark County coroner's office has identified the 37-year-old woman who died early Monday when her car was rear-ended at the corner of Decatur Boulevard and Smoke Ranch Road as Latasha Hale of North Las Vegas.

Hale was waiting at a red light about 5:15 a.m. when her westbound 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier was hit by a 2006 Buick minivan, Las Vegas police said.

Hale and the other driver, 21-year-old John Flores, were taken to University Medical Center, where she later died.

The coroner's office said the woman died of multiple injuries caused by a motor vehicle accident.
