Father, 77, faces charges in shooting death of son, 43

A father was arrested Wednesday on murder charges in connection with the shooting of his son in the northwest Arizona community of Dolan Springs, according to the Mohave County Sheriff's office.

Ronald Warren Patton, 43, was shot and killed Saturday in his father's home on North Grande Drive, department spokeswoman Trish Carter said.

He had recently moved into the home of his father, 77-year-old Roy Willis Patton.

The sheriff's department's investigation led to the father's arrest, Carter said. A .38-caliber weapon was removed from the residence.
