Female resident of St. Jude’s Ranch for Children arrested on sex assault charges

A female juvenile at St. Jude’s Ranch for Children has been arrested on two counts of sexual assault and three counts of open and gross lewdness, according to Boulder City police.

Officers were called to the ranch at 12:10 p.m. Monday on a sexual assault report.

The girl was arrested and booked into the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center. Police did not release additional information about the incident.

Boulder City police Chief Thomas Finn said in a news release that staff at St. Jude’s followed “all protocols and procedures” and immediately notified police when they learned of the incident.
