Florida woman dies, three others hurt as car rolls over

KINGMAN, Ariz. -- A Palm Bay, Fla., woman was killed in a traffic accident in northwest Arizona on Thursday.

Laverne J. Bryant, 74, was pronounced dead at the scene of the single vehicle rollover reported at 4:24 p.m. about 35 miles southeast of Kingman, acccording to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

DPS officials said Bryant was a passenger in a 2006 Honda sedan that was southbound on U.S. 93 when the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled in the median of the highway. The driver and another passenger were flown to Sunrise Medical Center. Another passenger was treated and released at a hospital in Kingman.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
