Gov. Sandoval’s press secretary arrested for DUI

CARSON CITY — Mari St. Martin, press secretary to Gov. Brian Sandoval, is facing a drunken driving charge following her arrest Friday night in Reno, the governor’s office said Monday.

In a statement, St. Martin apologized to her family, the governor and Nevadans.

“I offer no excuses for my actions and expect to be held accountable for my decision,” St. Martin said.

Sandoval said he was disappointed in her action.

“I take her at her word that she will take responsibility and seek the help she needs and fully cooperate in the legal process,” the governor said.
