Henderson fire visible across valley, official says

A pallet fire in Henderson on Tuesday sent a plume of smoke across the valley, with flames visible more than 13 miles away.

Las Vegas Fire Department spokesman Tim Szymanski said county firefighters were called to the two-alarm fire Tuesday evening on a small street just west of Boulder Highway.

Flames and smoke from the fire were seen from downtown Las Vegas.
