Henderson police investigate death of motorcycle rider

A 21-year-old Henderson man was killed Friday after crashing a motorcycle into the side of a van.

James Brandon Cosseboom was riding a Kawasaki Ninja on Sunset Road, near Whitney Ranch Drive, about 10:20 a.m. Friday when a van turned left in front of the him, Henderson police said.

The motorcycle burst into flames and Cosseboom was ejected and went through the right rear window of the van, police said. Witnesses were able to remove Cosseboom from the van and begin CPR, but he died on the way to the hospital, police said.

The driver of the van, 71-year-old Reynaldo Jantoc of Henderson, as well as a 2-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl, escaped from the van without injuries.

Jantoc has not been charged with a crime, but the investigation into the accident continues, police said.
