I-15 lanes reopened at Sloan after fatal crash

A man died in a rollover crash on Interstate 15 near Sloan at about 3 a.m.

The crash closed southbound lanes for hours, snarling traffic as Nevada Highway Patrol redirected traffic through Jean. The highway was reopened at 8:30 a.m.

NHP spokesman Jeremie Elliott said a GMC pickup was northbound near mile marker 19 when the vehicle crashed through the center median, jumped a concrete barrier and rolled, coming to rest in the southbound lanes. The driver was ejected and died at the scene.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

The victim appeared to be a Hispanic male in his 20s, Elliott said.
