DEATH ON INTERSTATE 15
Motorcyclist thrown into oncoming traffic
A motorcyclist died on Interstate 15 Sunday after he lost control of his bike and was thrown into oncoming traffic, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.
The unidentified man was southbound on I-15 near Lake Mead Boulevard about 7:30 p.m. when his bike hit a concrete median. He was ejected into northbound traffic where he was struck by a car, said Trooper Kevin Honea. The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, died at the scene.
Witnesses told the highway patrol that the motorcyclist had been zigzagging around traffic at a high rate of speed.
Honea said it's unknown why the motorcyclist lost control. An investigation into the fatality is ongoing.
SUSPECTS SOUGHT
Police look for two in homicide and car crash
Police say four murder suspects driving away from the scene of a fatal shooting crashed into another car, killing the driver and a pedestrian.
Berkeley, Calif., police Sgt. Mary Kusmiss said the four suspects were in a Cadillac on Saturday six minutes after police had received reports of a fatal shooting.
The suspects' Cadillac drove through a busy Oakland intersection when they hit a Mazda, which spun into a person crossing the street.
Two suspects were arrested.
