ADDITIONAL CHARGES PURSUED
LV police seek tips about porn suspect
Las Vegas police are asking for the public's help in determining whether a man who was arrested and accused of producing child pornography should face additional charges.
Yolando Lamont "Pac-man" Ferguson, 25, was arrested in June on several charges including one count of use of a minor in producing pornography.
Ferguson had access to many children, and investigators think other complaints could be filed against him.
According to his arrest report, Ferguson was the sports director and basketball coach at the Doolittle Recreation Center in West Las Vegas and a recreational assistant at the Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy.
Police allege Ferguson offered money to a 15-year-old boy to produce pornography.
Ferguson filmed the teen masturbating and paid the boy $25, the report said.
Anyone with information about Ferguson can call police at 828-3421 or Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
SUSPECT ARRESTED
LV police say quarrel led to fatal stabbing
Las Vegas police think George Garcia died over five bucks.
The 28-year-old from Indianapolis, Ind., was in town for a short time working a construction job. He had been staying with Walter Morales, 31, at the La Quinta Inn in the 3900 block of Paradise Road, a few blocks east of the Strip, police said.
"They got into an argument over a petty amount of money," said Lt. Lew Roberts, of the homicide unit.
Police were called at 12:31 a.m. Wednesday about two men fighting in their hotel room. Morales was waiting for officers when they arrived.
Garcia had been cut and stabbed multiple times, and the fatal gash was delivered to his throat, Roberts said.
He said the two men were arguing over $5.
Morales was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on one count of murder with a deadly weapon. He was held without bail.

State Bar of Nevada swears in new chief
The State Bar of Nevada has a new president.
Attorney Nancy Allf, 50, was sworn in June 29.
Allf, a civil attorney and shareholder of Parsons Behle & Latimer, is also one of three finalists to fill retiring District Judge Joseph Bonaventure's seat until the next election.
If Gov. Jim Gibbons appoints Allf, who previously has been a finalist for District Court judicial appointments, she will continue as bar president, said Scott Rodder, spokesman for the bar association.
Allf will replace Reno lawyer Rew Goodenow as president. Goodenow also works for Parson Behle & Latimer.
In a column for Nevada Lawyer, Allf wrote she plans to support the creation of an appellate court in Nevada. Other goals include expanding headquarters to accommodate growth.
The State Bar also elected and swore in President-Elect Bruce Beesley, who will become president next year after Allf's term.

An on-duty Las Vegas police officer was injured when the motorcycle he was riding slammed into the side of a Palace Station tour bus Wednesday night on Sahara Avenue near Valley View Boulevard, authorities said.
The wreck happened about 7:30 p.m. as the bus was turning into an Arby's restaurant parking lot near Rye Street, police spokesman Martin Wright said.
The officer, whose name was not released, was taken to University Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening, Wright said.
No one else was injured in the wreck, Wright said.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, Wright said.
