Jane ‘Cordova’ Doe’s grandmother testifies

Jane “Cordova” Doe’s grandmother broke down on the witness stand this afternoon after testifying about how she learned her granddaughter was dead when she was dropped off at a Las Vegas hospital.

Lilia Perez, mother of defendant Gladys Perez, was so distraught while testifying that District Judge Michelle Leavitt stopped the trial for almost 10 minutes. Marc Anthony Colon and Gladys Perez are on trial for murder in connection with the death of 3-year-old Crystal Figueroa, aka Jane Cordova Doe, in 2006.

During testimony today, Lilia Perez told the jury that she was worried for weeks about her daughter and two granddaughters. It was Gladys Perez who told her that Crystal was not alive when she dropped her off at the hospital, Lilia Perez testified.
