Las Vegas police arrest man in March ’07 shooting death

A man wanted in connection with the 2007 shooting death of a 22-year-old man was arrested Thursday by Las Vegas police.

Deshon Tyler, 30, is charged with murder with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit murder, shooting into an unoccupied vehicle and destruction of evidence. Police booked him into the Clark County Detention Center.

The charges stem from a March 6, 2007, slaying. Police accuse Tyler of shooting and killing Denardo Burch while Burch was in a car stopped at a traffic light on Las Vegas Boulevard and Reno Avenue.

Police said Tyler shot Burch multiple times. Before the shots were fired, the two got into a verbal altercation, police said.

Tyler fled the scene in a dark vehicle, police said. Burch died at the scene.
