Las Vegas woman dies in SUV accident on U.S. 95
A 26-year-old Las Vegas woman was killed when the sport utility vehicle she was riding in overturned on U.S. Highway 95 between Beatty and Goldfield today.
Nevada Highway Patrol trooper Kevin Honea said the woman was a passenger in a GMC Envoy heading north on the highway.
At around noon, the vehicle drifted off the right side of the road. When the female driver tried to steer back onto the road, she overcorrected, causing the vehicle to overturn, Honea said.
Investigators were trying to determine whether the deceased was wearing a seat belt, Honea said. Her name was not released.
