Las Vegas woman killed in collision near Carson City

A Las Vegas woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision Thursday morning on ice-covered U.S. Highway 50 near Dayton, east of Carson City.

Nevada Highway Patrol officials said 26-year-old Wendy Ann Geddie’s car spun out of control and into the path of an oncoming Hummer.

Geddie was pronounced dead at the scene about four miles east of Dayton.

The Hummer driver, 59-year-old Bonnie Raymond of Carson City, was taken to a Reno hospital with minor injuries.
