Life sentence given in death of 32-year-old in Arizona

KINGMAN, Ariz. -- A Bullhead City, Ariz., man received a life sentence for a murder he helped commit just three months after his release from prison.

Jorge "Wicked" Guerrero, 22, was sentenced Tuesday in Kingman for the February 2008 shooting death of Jaime Banuelos, 32, of Mohave Valley. Guerrero was convicted of first degree murder and misconduct involving weapons.

Banuelos was shot three times and left for dead in a remote area off Silver Creek Road in Bullhead City.

Prosecutor Ken Skousen said a drug debt and an erroneous suspicion involving impregnation were possible motives for the homicide.

Co-defendant Santiago Fidel Sanchez, 25, also of Bullhead City, awaits trial in Banuelos' death.
