LV teen killed in accident near lake ID’d

A 17-year-old Las Vegan killed in a two-vehicle wreck Thursday at the Lake Mead National Recreational Area was identified as Grant Montgomery Goldie by the Clark County coroner's office.

The 6:45 p.m. wreck occurred about two miles from the Boulder City entrance to the park, authorities said.

A Cadillac sedan carrying five men was traveling south on Lake Shore Drive when the car hit a median, flipped onto its roof and was struck by a van heading north and carrying two women and a toddler. Grant was pronounced dead at the scene. Four men in the Cadillac and the two women in the van were taken to area hospitals for treatment. The toddler was not injured. The crash remains under investigation.
