Maloof says Spears could be headliner

A Las Vegas headliner residency would make a lot of sense for Britney Spears "someday, maybe," said Palms owner George Maloof.

He's "definitely talked about it" and "had a lot of discussions, but nothing relevant to now," said Maloof, who has a long relationship with Spears and her manager, Larry Rudolph.

Spears was back at the Palms over the weekend after a whirlwind week of promoting her new album "Femme Fatale." She kicked off the promotional blitz with two mini-concerts at the Palms on March 25, one an MTV taping for the special that aired Sunday.

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton reported last week that Spears was being courted by various Las Vegas properties who view her as a long-term drawing card.

According to the report, the vying interests would like to have Spears bring her show to Las Vegas this fall after her "Femme Fatale" tour across the United States and Canada.

Maloof mentioned something like 20 shows a year would be "a natural. She wouldn't have to move around with the kids. Definitely thought about it, but there's nothing pending now."

Spears, 29, was on the town Saturday with boyfriend Jason Trawick. They dined at Nove Italiano at the Palms and checked out the club scene at Tao, The Venetian hotspot.

She was spotted Sunday at Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden at The Mirage with her children, Sean Preston Federline, 5, and Jayden James Federline, 4, and her father, Jamie Spears.

Spears took her kids to the exotic animal attraction a year ago to see the weeks-old white tiger cubs Majestic and Mohan.

A few hours after the Grammy winner's visit, Oscar winner Nicole Kidman showed up with her daughter, Sunday Rose, and ran into Siegfried & Roy, who provided a private tour.
