Man accused in shooting at strip club held on bail

KENT, Wash. -- A man accused of shooting three people outside a Las Vegas strip club during a melee involving professional football player Adam "Pacman" Jones has been ordered held on $1 million bail.

Arvin Kenti Edwards of Renton declined to appear in King County Superior Court on Wednesday. He is being held for investigation of being a fugitive from justice pending his extradition to Nevada.

Las Vegas police allege Edwards opened fire after a brawl at the Minxx strip joint in February 2007 during NBA All-Star Weekend. The shooting paralyzed bouncer Tom Urbanski and injured two others.

Dan Donohoe, a spokesman for the King County prosecutor's office, said Edwards was assigned a lawyer temporarily for Wednesday's hearing but does not have formal counsel.

The development occurred on the same day that the National Football League's Tennessee Titans announced an agreement to trade Jones to the Dallas Cowboys.
