Man arrested after egging incident involving two teens
A 22-year-old man was arrested after shooting at two teens who egged his pickup on Sunday.
Henderson police said Christopher Brunelle is facing two charges of attempted murder for firing at the teens' Jeep Cherokee, which was 20 feet away from him and fleeing the neighborhood about 11:50 p.m.
Brunelle told investigators he was firing at the tires, police said, but the two shots struck the passenger window and door post.
Brenna Schmid-Webster, 18, suffered a wound to her upper-right shoulder that may have been caused by glass or a bullet fragment, police said. Cameron Mackey, 18, who was driving, was not injured.
The teens did not know Brunelle, according to police. He was sitting in his truck in front of his home on Dalsetter Drive near Anthem Highlands and Democracy drives when his vehicle was hit by "projectiles," he told police. He called 911 stating that he fired two shots at the Jeep after his vehicle was hit.
Several cartons of eggs were found in the teens' vehicle. Misdemeanor charges against them related to vandalism are pending, police said.
