Man dies in morning shooting at downtown motel

A man was shot to death following an argument inside a downtown motel early Sunday morning.

Las Vegas police responded to the shooting at 1:29 a.m. at the Bargain Motel, 200 S. Eighth St., at Carson Avenue.

Officers found the man dead from a gunshot wound, police said. Homicide investigators said that the victim had been in an argument with the suspect, who pulled a gun and shot the victim.

The victim's name was not released.

Police said witnesses told them the suspect fled the scene. He is described as a black man, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, wearing dark clothing.
