Man indicted for shooting friend 11 times

A 33-year-old man was indicted on one count of murder with use of a deadly weapon for shooting his friend in September, prosecutors said Friday.

Troy Martinez told Las Vegas police he was acting in self defense when he fatally shot Brandon Kuhn, 32.

Martinez said Kuhn hit and tried to choke him after an argument at Martinez’ home near Wigwam Avenue and Spencer Street.

Investigators found 11 gunshot wounds in Kuhn’s body when they discovered him face down in Martinez’s bedroom.

Prosecutor Hagar Trippiedi said there was no sign of a struggle in the house and Kuhn was shot eight times in the back.

Martinez remained free on $150,000 bail.
