Man killed in Las Vegas shooting a Henderson resident

A man who was shot and killed in a central valley neighborhood Friday afternoon was identified Monday.

Jean Richard Paul, 45, of Henderson died from gunshot wounds, according to the Clark County coroner's office.

Las Vegas police spokeswoman Barbara Morgan said officers were called to the 1000 block of Silverman Way, near H Street and Owens Avenue, shortly before 3 p.m. Friday on a report of a man who had been shot.

The suspect, a black man in his 30s with a bright yellow shirt, ran behind a building across the street, police said, and he remains at large.

The two men were seen arguing in front of an apartment when the gunman shot the man several times, police said.
