Man sentenced to life for Luxor bombing

One of the men convicted of planting a pipe bomb atop the Luxor parking garage that killed his ex-girlfriend's lover was formally sentenced to life in prison this morning.

Before Judge Michael Villani handed down the sentence Omar Rueda-Denvers said he was innocent and a scapegoat.

"They want to find a guilty person," he said.

The sentencing of his co-defendant, Porfirio Duarte-Herrera, was delayed until Jan. 28.

The two men were convicted by a jury in August of planting the bomb that killed Willebaldo Dorantes Antonio in 2007.
