Man shot, killed in incident in Walgreens parking lot

A man was shot and killed Saturday morning in a Walgreens parking lot on the corner of Tropicana Avenue and Decatur Boulevard, police said.

The man had pulled into the parking lot in a Lexus sedan and was confronted by another man, described by witnesses as a 6-foot, 2-inch black man weighing about 260 pounds and wearing dark jeans and a red sweatshirt with black and white stripes on the sleeves.

The two men argued, and the man in the car was shot about 8:20 a.m., Las Vegas police Lt. Lew Roberts said.

The man in the car attempted to drive away but crashed into a landscaped area of the parking lot, police said. He died at the scene.

Police did not identify the victim.

The gunman fled north through the parking lot and into a residential area.

Roberts said the two men were believed to have known each other.
