Man shot outside home near Desert Inn and Nellis

Las Vegas police are investigating a shooting Wednesday morning in the eastern part of the valley.

A police spokesman said a man was shot in the torso outside a home in the 3600 block of Arbolado Drive, near Desert Inn Road and Nellis Boulevard, at about 7 a.m.

The victim was transported to Sunrise Medical Center and Hospital with life-threatening injuries, although he was conscious and spoke to emergency personnel, police said.

Police are not sure of the circumstances surrounding the shooting, the spokesman said. Detectives were on their way to the scene as of 8 a.m. this morning.

The suspects were described as two black men in their early 20s, police said, and remain at large.
