Marie Osmond sings for her son

Marie Osmond made a heart-wrenching return to the "Donny & Marie Show" at the Flamingo Tuesday, a day after the funeral of her son, Michael Bryan.

Early in the show she dedicated the opera song "Requiem" to Bryan, 18, and referred to him as her "angel."

After finishing the song, she left the stage. Brother Donny told the crowd "how Marie just got through that opera number I'll never know. I hope you all appreciate what she's going through tonight."

He added, "I admire my sister a lot."

At the end of the tear-filled evening, Donny helped steady Marie when she couldn't finish the final line of a prayer that begins with Donny singing, "May tomorrow be a perfect day."

As they walked to the top of a stairway, Marie sang the line, "May you find love and laughter along the way."

After Donny sang, "May God keep you in his tender care," Marie broke down while trying to close the show with the words, "Until he brings us together again."

Bryan took his own life in Los Angeles Feb. 26 when he leaped from his eighth-floor apartment.

He had battled depression.
