Multiple semi-trucks damaged in Sunday fire

A Sunday morning trailer tractor fire near Decatur Boulevard and Hacienda Avenue caused an estimated $400,000 in damage.

The Clark County Fire Department responded just before 9:30 a.m. to multiple reports of a fire at 4723 W. Hacienda Ave. A total of 39 firefighters arrived to the blaze which was knocked down at 9:45 a.m.

Two semi-trucks were completely destroyed in the fire and a third was severely damaged, according to department battalion chief John Steinbeck. Two more trucks had minor damage.

Fire crews attacked the flames and searched an adjacent building for fire extension. Firefighters were able to extinguish burning fuel runoff with foam and there were no firefighter or civilian injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
