Names of Arizona tour bus accident victims released

The Arizona Department of Public Safety today released the names of the seven people who died in Friday’s tour bus crash south of Hoover Dam.

Most of the 17 passengers were Chinese nationals returning to Las Vegas from the Grand Canyon. The tourists had flown from Shanghai to San Francisco.

The victims are:

—Meng Qui Sun, female, 19

—Yu Ching Chung, female, 15

—Guo Ying Zhu, female 45

—Yong Shun Zhu, male, 39

—Zhen Quan Sheng, male, 56

—Xia Zhen Ge, female 44

—Wen Ting Chen, male, 45

Chen was a tour guide on the bus.

The bus was on U.S. Highway 93 in Arizona, just south of the Nevada border, when it crashed for an unknown reason. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Arizona Department of Public Safety and the National Transportation Safety Board.
