4 shot Halloween night in D.C.

WASHINGTON — Authorities say three people were shot near the Verizon Center in Washington on Halloween night shortly after a concert let out, and a fourth was shot an hour later just blocks away.

Police say three men were shot at 7th and F streets NW around 10 p.m. on Friday. Police say one man was struck in the arm and the others suffered graze wounds. Police say the injuries are non-life threatening.

D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier said there were 25 officers in the area at the time of the shooting.

Police say they recovered one weapon they believe was used in the shooting.

Within an hour, police say another shooting was reported at 3rd and H streets NW.

It is unclear whether the shootings are related.
