One shot at New Orleans airport after attacking TSA agent with machete

A Transportation Security Administration agent was attacked by a person with a machete at Louis Armstrong International Airport in New Orleans on Friday night, Jefferson Parish Sheriff Newell Normand said.

A law enforcement officer shot the suspect three times.

He was taken to a hospital where authorities said he was unresponsive. The TSA agent suffered a cut to the arm, Normand said.
