Suspect in Hawaii homicide arrested in Las Vegas
A woman wanted in connection with a 2009 homicide in Hawaii was arrested in Las Vegas on Monday morning by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.
Patricia Wong, 54, was indicted by a grand jury for the 2009 death of Kaycee M. Smith, according to the Hawaii Police Department. A warrant charging Wong with second-degree murder was issued.
Smith was found dead with a gunshot wound in her Hawaii residence, police said.
The U.S. Marshals developed information that Wong was in Las Vegas, and she was arrested near Tropicana Avenue and Paradise Road.
Wong was booked into the Clark County Detention Center pending her extradition to Hawaii, the U.S. Marshals said.
