Magna-Fi playing at Wasted Space

Their tunes are sufficiently hard, and so is their luck. Las Vegas rockers Magna-Fi have had their share of breaks, most notably a stint on Ozzfest 2004, but they've also had to weather bankrupt record labels, lineup changes and various other bumps in the road that have threatened to stall the momentum of a band with plenty of promise.

Magna-Fi's latest disc, the sardonically titled "Verse Chorus Kill Me," is a big-sounding, hook-heavy affair meant to be a soundtrack for plenty of good times -- even if this bunch hasn't always gotten their share of as much.

See Magna-Fi at 10 p.m. Tuesday at Wasted Space at the Hard Rock, 4455 Paradise Road. Call 693-5066.
