Amy Beggin scored 20 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and made three steals to lead New Mexico to a 62-48 victory over Colorado State in today's Mountain West Conference women's basketball quarterfinal at the Thomas & Mack Center.

The No. 4-seeded Lobos (22-9) play No. 1 Utah (20-9) in a semifinal game at noon Friday.

"They don't have many weaknesses," New Mexico coach Don Flanagan said of Utah. "Their only weakness might be they haven't played in the tournament yet and we have."
