North Las Vegas official accepts Florida job

Another top administrator in North Las Vegas may soon be leaving the city.

Acting City Manager Maryann Ustick has accepted a job as city manager in Destin, Fla. pending negotiation of a contract, the city confirmed Monday.

Ustick would be the latest in a long line of executive level staffers who have left the city in recent years as it has faced major budget problems and other troubles.

Other recent departures included the city attorney and the city's utilities director.

Ustick's predecessor, Gregory Rose, resigned in late 2009. He received more than $337,OOO in severance pay.
