Northwest Arizona fire victim identified

The victim of a Thursday residential fire in the northwest Arizona community of Meadview has been identified as Ruth Camille McDowell, 58.

Personnel from the Northern Arizona Consolidated Fire District responded at 10:22 p.m. to the fire in the 100 block of Bishop Drive.

Fire Chief Pat Moore said McDowell was dead at the scene when found outside her burning home.

“The fire was contained to the property of origin with no other injuries or fatalities noted,” Moore said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
