One killed, two hurt in accident involving teens

One person was killed and two others were injured when a sport utility vehicle crashed into a block wall about 1:45 p.m. today on Gateway Road near Russell Road and Rawhide Street.

All three people in the vehicle were 17 years old, Las Vegas police said.

Witnesses told police the vehicle was speeding and doing donuts when the driver lost control and hit the wall, police spokeswoman Barbara Morgan said.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene and two others were transported to a local hospital.
