Pahrump man arrested, charged with sex crimes involving minors

The Nye County sheriff's office has arrested a Pahrump man on two dozen criminal charges including sexual assault, child abuse and lewdness with a minor.

Carl Blake, 35, was booked into the sheriff's office after police received a report that he had been sexually assaulting several young children, police said.

Blake faces seven counts of child abuse, 12 counts of sexual assault, and one count each of domestic battery with a deadly weapon, open and gross lewdness, ex-felon in possession of a firearm, lewdness with a minor under 14, and child abuse with sexual abuse. He is being held on $123,500 bail.
