Patriotism, Joy on Parade this Weekend

Two Las Vegas Valley communities celebrated the Fourth of July one day early with Saturday morning parades, kicking off holiday weekend festivities.

Boulder City welcomed its 62nd annual Damboree festival with a pancake breakfast at Bicentennial Park, which was followed by a parade at 9 a.m. A fireworks show is scheduled for 9 p.m. at Veteran's Memorial Park.

Summerlin marked July Fourth with the Summerlin Council Patriotic Parade, which began at 9 a.m. at Hillpointe Road and Hills Center Drive.
