Police investigate southwest valley shooting death

Las Vegas police on Thursday night were investigating the southwest valley shooting death of a man found in the rear seat of a newer model Nissan.

Lt. James Mizusaki, a Metro watch commander, said the call came in at 6:42 p.m. and that the Nissan was found in the parking lot of a convenience store in the 7700 block of South Jones Boulevard, near Robindale Road.

He said the man appears to be in his late 20s or early 30s. “Someone heard gunshots and saw the vehicle crash,” Mizusaki said. No other details were available late Thursday.
