Las Vegas police are searching for a man in connection with a sexual assault that occurred Wednesday morning in the east valley.

Police said a woman was walking about 9:30 a.m. in an apartment complex near Nellis Boulevard and Vegas Valley Drive when she was attacked by the suspect. He is described as a black man in his mid-20s with brown hair, brown eyes and short hair. He stands about 5 feet 6 inches tall, police said. He was last seen wearing dark clothing. He is described as clean shaven.

Police did not provide additional information in the assault.

Anyone with information about the suspect is urged to contact the Las Vegas police Sex Crimes Section at 828-3421 or Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
