QUALITY CARE IPA OFFERS INDEPENDENT PHYSICIAN OPTIONS

A new association composed of physicians working independently in privately owned practices is available to Medicare recipients.

Quality Care IPA includes more than 300 primary care and specialty physicians, live customer support and an extensive health care services network.

The network contains laboratory locations throughout Las Vegas with access to specialty care and affiliations with all area hospitals.

A full range of services will be offered beginning Jan. 1.

HOLIDAY PARTY PLANNED AT RECreation CENTER

Paradise Recreation and Community Services Center plans to host a holiday party with musical entertainment from noon to 2 p.m. Dec. 16 at 4775 S. McLeod Drive.

A Sunrise Hospital dietitian helps cancer survivors and their loved ones learn about healthy food options after a cancer diagnosis.

TAKE A WALK ON THE WILD SIDE AT BRIDGE GALLERY ART EXHIBIT

The public is invited to the last exhibit in the current Las Vegas City Hall gallery space.

City employees, Zappos employees and other local artists are asked to bid farewell to the exhibit space with an exhibit featuring shoes.

Visitors may reach the gallery through the second floor of the Las Vegas City Hall parking garage on the southeast corner of Stewart Avenue and Fourth Street. Parking is by paid meter only.

The exhibit is open from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays through Jan. 26, excluding holidays.

SENIOR TRIPSTERS PLAN TUCSON TRIP

Senior Tripsters, a nonprofit travel organization, is planning a trip to Tucson, Ariz., Jan. 17-20.

There will be a four-hour evening tour of Kitts Peak Observatory to view stars, galaxies and planets and a three-hour guided tour of Tucson's highlights. View desert critters and birds at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, tour the Pima Air & Space Museum and take a tram ride in Sabino Canyon.

Bereavement professionals at Solari Hospice Care help people cope with loss, particularly during the holiday season.

The center offers two free weekly ongoing grief support groups from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and from 10 a.m. to noon Fridays.
