Prisoner dies in Reno hospital

A state prisoner serving time for a Clark County robbery died Monday in a Reno hospital, the Nevada Department of Corrections said.

James Wilson, 29, died at the Renown Regional Medical Center after being hospitalized multiple times, the department announced late Tuesday. It was unclear how Wilson died and why he was previously hospitalized.

Wilson was serving five to 13 years for a robbery committed in Clark County, along with a consecutive two to five years because the victim was elderly. He had been incarcerated since Nov. 16, 2010.
